Practical Decisions

Okay guys,

Here's the deal: I present a Senior Exit Project around April 5th. It determines whether or not I graduate. Since this blog is a large part of that presentation, I'm going to have to make some clear cut goals and deadlines. I have decided that I will have one room completed by the time that presentation rolls around and that room is....
.................drum roll..............
the living-room!
Here it is:

I caught it on a messy day (dogs included) but it has some obvious needs. The walls are completely blank, the furniture doesn't tie together in any way and the mantle is overwhelmed by mugs to start. It's also, in my opinion, the comfort room of the home. The living-room and the kitchen are interchangeable as far as the heart of the home goes, but it's certainly a gathering place and should be a comfortable, practical one.

A couple of things everyone should know:

1. I worship this blog: Marcus Design. So should you.
2. This book is the holy-grail of Interior Design. Buy it, borrow it, steal it if you have to (I don't condone that). Read it. Love it.
