My name is Nicole and I am a senior at Northwest School of the Arts and passionate about Interior Design. I have moved over 20 times in my life and I know, more than anybody, that a home is transient. No matter how long I plan to live in any given building, it should still feel like home. Time constraints as well as lack of ownership mean that I can't go around knocking down, building and relocating walls and windows, so the idea of Fleeting Design was born.
This blog is about interior design for the enthusiastic but not-so-wealthy as well as those living in situations where they are unable to make structural changes, such as in rentals. As the name suggests, the kind of design that will be demonstrated is impermanent. Throughout the course of this blog, I will be documenting the design and execution process of rooms in my own home and providing tips and insight into the world of making a home wherever you are.
